As noted on your invitations, dinner will be provided for at the lodge on Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th of March. We would therefore ask that people try arrive in good time on Friday afternoon to ensure a relaxing evening can be had by all - bearing in mind the drive from Windhoek International Airport to Sesriem can take up to 5hrs depending on conditions.

While we looked into getting a bus for group transport to and from the airport, in the end it turned out not to be any more efficient cost-wise (assuming two people per car), and we thought people would enjoy the flexibility of having their own cars. In order to make it slightly easier for guests to organise themselves into groups for the purposes of car hire and holiday planning, please find a list of all those attending at the bottom of the page. Once decided, we will also allocate rooms on the below list.

The dress code for the wedding ceremony will be 'smart casual'. For the guys, that means no suits, jackets or ties are required - shirts and slacks are fine. For the girls, who am I to tell you how to dress, I'm sure you'll look lovely!

A few people have asked us about wedding gifts. Grit and I both very much appreciate the high expense of attending the wedding, and as it will still be some time before we live together anyway, don't feel it necessary to ask for further gifts.

Regarding flights to Namibia, the cheaper options from the UK/Europe seem to be via Frankfurt or Dubai and are currently around £800. For those coming from South Africa, or for those holidaying in SA beforehand, you may find more convenient arrival and departure flights come in and out of Walvis Bay, rather than Windhoek. Note however that these are small regional jets and as such space may be limited.. so book early!
